Last Post November! Well it got so busy getting ready for Ryan to come home and then well things have been busy since he left. I figure now that the word is out I can start to post my pregnancy health on this blog. I would like to be more aware this time about what I am eating and how I am feeling so here goes...
Pre-pregnancy weight 122.0Today I am 12 1/2 weeks and I weighed 125.0 this morning
I feel really fat already though. My tummy is sticking out faster this time. I guess that is common with the more babies you have the faster you show.
Last week I went to the gym on Monday and ran 20 minutes and did arm weights for 20 minutes. Wednesday I went and ran 30 minutes and did some machines for my legs. I planned to go Friday too but Faryn got strep and we had to stay home. My goal is to get to the gym 3 times a week! With Errson I exercised until 3 weeks before delivery.
I feel pretty good in the morning but by 3 or 4 I am really tired (even though I try to nap everyday while Errson is napping). I also have been nauseous at night the last couple of weeks. Before that I was nauseous all day :)So I know it is getting better. I think I am more tired this time because I am more busy.
Anyway my goal for this pregnancy really is to not let myself have the attitude that I can eat whatever I want because I am pregnant and going to get fat anyway. We all know that it sucks after wards to have to lose all that weight that is just from the baby let alone the stuff from over eating too. I gained about 35 pounds with Hendrix and Faryn delivering at 156. With Errson I started at 156 and delivered at 162...only a six pound gain but I was over weight to start with. This time I would like to gain no more than 20. I don't know if it is realistic but I would like to try my best to keep it under control. I will post later what I ate today. I think accountability is the key. I appreciate everyone's support!!!!!

I'm Back!
Okay so I sort of just dropped off the Health and Fitness Blog Planet...not that I haven't been thinking about it and working on it I just haven't posted a thing in forever. I have gleaned some inspiration from Wendy's blog and I am going to do a better job with my meal planning. I go through phases with this but I have found my weight is under control when I plan. I have also decided to be a little more "French" and I am going to shop twice a week for the food I need so that everything is FRESH! I think we will waste less this way and enjoy our produce more. For example, Bananas...love them when they are perfect! This is only for a day or two so if I shop twice a week then I will have bananas I love more often and less banana bread that goes straight to my butt! I will plan tonight and shop tomorrow...stay tuned! :)Kiersta

What is Wisdom?
Okay so I was thinking about what the Word of Wisdom means and I know the word is the word of God or what he is telling us and then wisdom what is that? So I looked it up and this is some of what I found...good sense, accumulated learning, Knowledge, understanding, insight, perception, good judgment and intelligence. I am going to apply these to my food choices and portions. I am also going to read "French Women don't get Fat" again...it always helps to bring my love of food to the surface along with healthy portion control.

The Word of Wisdom
So much of my physical and emotional energy goes into this idea of "Healthy Living" sometimes I think it can't be healthy. I have a friend here, Jen, who spent a whole year studying the Word of Wisdom and everything the scriptures and latter-day prophets have to say about the topic. I think she has it figured out. This will cover the gamete of aspects of healthy living from exercise to the enjoyment of good food. This is my new goal. I am not sure how long I will do it but I want my motivation to come from a source that tells no lies. I will journal my thoughts and impressions as I begin this journey to truly grasp and apply the Word of Wisdom in my life.

Trainer Tips
So I had a session with a personal trainer today to look at my fitness and the difference between where I am now and where I would like to be. The session was really great and I learned a ton. However he tested my body fat and that was...not so good. Apparently for my age and 30% body fat I am in an okay range but not considered fit :( So sad for me! I would like to see more muscle on this aging body of mine and less looseness. The training sessions are as much as a mortgage so I don't really know what my plan is for that. I am still training for my half marathon but feeling frumpy despite my efforts. The trainer said a reasonable goal for me would be to lose 10 pounds...I better get working hard if I am going to do that! I am getting off the computer right now!!!!!!!!!!
